'Tetris' live-action movie: A real thing that's happening

Welp, this is it. We’ve reached the pinnacle of nostalgia culture.
Somehow, somewhere, the popular ’80s video game Tetris will be adapted into a live-action movie, the Wall Street Journal confirms. Threshold Entertainment has teamed up with the Tetris Company for the project.
So how is this supposed to work?
“It’s a very big, epic sci-fi movie,” Threshold’s CEO Larry Kasanoff, who also adapted the Mortal Kombat movies, tells WSJ. “This isn’t a movie with a bunch of lines running around the page. We’re not giving feet to the geometric shapes.”
So far, no actors or director are attached to the film. We’ll see where this goes.
